Celebrating the Heart of Our Community: Volunteer Appreciation at the Family Resource Center
Every day, volunteers power the work of the Family Resource Center. They are showing up with compassion, insight, and a deep commitment to supporting families. During National Volunteer Month in April, we celebrate the individuals who make this work possible.
Members of our Family Advisory Board play a critical role in shaping our services. They share their lived experiences, helping guide what families in our community truly need and ensuring our programs and services remain responsive, relevant, and welcoming.
Volunteers also support the day-to-day work that keeps the center running strong. From packing diapers for distribution, to cleaning and sanitizing toys, to collecting and donating diapers, these efforts ensure families have access to essential items in a safe, supportive environment.
National Volunteer Week was established in 1974 to recognize and celebrate volunteers across the country. Here at the Family Resource Center, we see that impact every day. Our volunteers bring care, commitment, and community spirit into everything they do.
To all who give their time and energy we thank you. You are the backbone of this work, and because of you, families in our community feel supported, heard, and empowered.
